Terms of Service

An Orientation to Our Agreement
In the world of philosophy and law, "terms" define the boundaries of a shared space. I recognize that digital boundaries are often cold and transactional.
For Where We Find, I view these terms as a set of mutual commitments. By using this website and participating in my workshops or events, you are agreeing to walk this terrain with respect for the work, the sources, and the other people you find here.

1. The Intellectual Commons (Property Rights)
The essays, curriculum, and workshop materials provided through Where We Find and related offerings are the result of years of study and reflection.
- Copyright: All original content on this site and within my workshops—including text, audio, and visual materials—is owned by Yuval Goldfus.
- Usage: You are encouraged to read, reflect upon, and apply these ideas to your own life. However, your participation is for personal, non-commercial use. You may not record, reproduce, distribute, or "remix" these materials for public or commercial purposes without my express written consent.
- The Sources: While we draw on the wisdom of diverse sources, the specific synthesis and pedagogical structure of these inquiries is proprietary.
2. The Workshop Social Contract
Participation in a "Shared Inquiry" or any live event requires a specific kind of presence. By enrolling, you agree to:
- Confidentiality: To ensure an intimate environment, what is shared by participants during live sessions must stay within that group. You may not record sessions or share the personal stories or likeness of others.
- Respectful Inquiry: We welcome diverse circumstances and viewpoints. We ask for a "willingness to look closely" and to stay with the questions rather than seeking reductive answers.
- Right to Unenroll: To protect the integrity of the shared space, I reserve the right to remove any participant whose conduct is consistently disruptive or harmful to the group.
3. Payments and Refunds
- Investment: Prices for workshops and offerings will be clearly stated. By purchasing, you agree to pay the fees associated with the service.
- Refund Policy: Because our cohorts are kept intentionally small and space is strictly limited, payment for participation is generally non-refundable. If you must withdraw before the first session, please contact me to discuss your circumstances; however, all sales are final once a workshop has begun.
- Cancellations: In the unlikely event that I am unable to fulfill the workshop sessions, a pro-rata refund will be provided for the unfulfilled portion.
4. Not a Substitute for Professional Care
While we study philosophy and poetry to find grounding and orientation, Where We Find is an intellectual and contemplative project. It is not therapy, medical advice, or crisis counseling. Your reliance on any information found here is at your own risk. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please seek the support of a licensed professional.
5. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer
I provide the "maps" and the "sources," but the journey you take with them is your own.
- "As Is": This site and all materials are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind regarding accuracy or reliability.
- Liability Cap: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Where We Find and Yuval Goldfus for any claims arising from your use of this site or participation in our inquiries shall not exceed USD $100.00. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
6. Hold Harmless
You agree to defend and hold harmless Where We Find and Yuval Goldfus from any claims or demands (including reasonable legal fees) resulting from your violation of these terms or your use of the site in an unlawful manner.
7. External Paths (Third-Party Links)
This site contains links to other "terrains"—third-party websites or services (like Substack). I am not responsible for the content or practices of these external sites.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes arising from these terms will be handled exclusively within the courts of that jurisdiction.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By subscribing to the newsletter or registering for an inquiry, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
